About Us

The Razor Blade Company was founded in 1916 as a family company in Santa Monica, California.  Originally called Barber Razor Blade Co., the founders focused on selling to individual barber and beauty supply stores.  The Barber brand represented the highest quality in double edge razor blades for shaving.  Barbershops nationwide still buy our stainless steel super platinum razors and injector blades.  In the 1970’s we began expanding our product line to include industrial razor blades, sold across a variety of industries.  In 2007, after 3 generations in the same family, Barber Razor Blade Co. was transferred to new owners who have carried on the tradition of maintaining a family business built on integrity in service, pricing, and products. 

Now under the name The Razor Blade Company, we aim to satisfy customers across a broad array of industries.  From our standard single edge razor blade, to surgical blades, textile blades and disposable shaving razors, The Razor Blade Company has grown into a major hub for customers of all sizes looking for quality razor blade tools and accessories.  We have expanded our offices and moved into a state of the art warehouse to accommodate our new growth and allow us to move products quickly and efficiently to our customers.  We are now celebrating our 108th year in business.  We trust you will find the same quality products and exceptional service today that has allowed us to be a customer favorite for razor blades since 1916.
